Shizuka Day Spa New York City 's new "Partner Treatments" are perfect as pre-dinner-date activities or mini retreats from your collectively stressful lives. They are designed to encourage intimacy, togetherness, and general well-being. Prices are for two people and include a complimentary sparkling wine toast.
The most nurturing massage comes from someone who truly knows and loves you -- or at least it can after you participate in our instructional Partner Massage. Each person receives a 40-minute session led by one of our skilled massage therapists. After showing the partner basic massage techniques, there is a 15 minute guided practice session that will help the partner to recreate the massage. All couples receive complimentary massage oil to take home.

You may not be able to stop holding hands after our special Partner Manicure. With the guidance of our nailists, help your partner to gently slough away dead skin and hydrate for smooth, touchable hands. Polish and buffing are optional.

Shizuka Day Spa New York City offers the following at-home treatment as a way to relax and luxuriate by yourself (as seen in the New York Daily News, July 06, 2006). Go ahead and pamper yourself this Valentine's Day!

Buy yourself a bouquet of inexpensive supermarket roses and remove the petals |
Step #2: |
Take a long, warm bath by candlelight. Even if you're used to showers, the bath has therapeutic effects. Before you get in, cover the tub with rose petals. Not only will the scent be uplifting, but the sheer luxury of bathing in roses will make you feel like royalty. |
Step #3: |
Have an "Appletini" Facial with that glass of wine! Start by peeling an apple and pulverizing it in a food processor or blender. Mix in a small squeeze of lemon and apply to the face. Wash off after 10-15 minutes. This mask will leave your skin and mood brighter! |
