| This chemical peel is appropriate for all skin types. Just like the name says, this NYC chemical peel facial fits perfectly into your lunch hour. Using mild concentrations of TCA, Salicylic and Lactic acids, this chemical peel facial is designed to brighten and refine your skin with each treatment. |

| A Shizuka exclusive, this chemical peel facial is much stronger in concentration than our Lunchtime Peel. Please be aware that residual peeling may occur for up to one week following this facial peel. Appropriate for all skin types and complexions (even tan and dark skin), Shizuka recommends that everyone have this chemical peel once per year. This NYC chemical peel facial requires an in-person consultation with Shizuka before treatment. |

Two to three weeks before your NYC chemical peel at Shizuka NY, you will need to begin preparing your skin. Among other things, you will be asked to cleanse the skin twice per day, apply a moisturizer or cream once or twice per day, and use sunscreen every day. In some cases, daily use of tretinoin (Retin-A) will also be recommended and may speed healing. This skin care regimen will help the skin peel more evenly, will speed healing after the facial peel, and may reduce the chance of infection and other complications, especially uneven color changes in the skin.
Recovery time after a NYC chemical peel depends on the depth, duration and type of chemical used. In the case of our Lunchtime Peel, you can return to work immediately following the chemical peel. With our Total Skin Rejuvenation, your skin may continue to peel and heal for up to one week following the chemical peel facial. In order to speed healing, ensure longer lasting results, prevent infection and avoid color changes in the treated area caused by sun exposure, proper care of the skin after your Shizuka New York chemical peel is very important.
- Cleanse the skin frequently with water and a mild cleanser.
- Moisturize the skin daily.
- Avoid sun exposure until all residual facial peeling has stopped, and remember to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day, reapplying frequently. Once facial peeling has stopped, continue to use sunscreen every day as new skin is more susceptible to sun damage.
- To maximize the effects of your NYC chemical peel, you may want to follow up with an exfoliating or brightening product appropriate for your skin type. This generally happens when the skin has healed completely. Please consult with Shizuka for personalized recommendations.
